Based on earlier models in Calgary and Edmonton, this 7th annual Festival is a week-long celebration of Lethbridge history complete with exhibitions, tours, film screenings, concerts and other events; look for the HLF brochure in April at the Allied Arts Council, Chinook Country Tourist Association, City Hall, Galt Museum & Archives, Lethbridge Public Library and other locations throughout the city.

Organized by a steering committee of Lethbridge-based organizations and interested individuals, Historic Lethbridge Festival promotes and acknowledges the diversity and importance of history and heritage to the local and area community.

The first Historic Lethbridge Week took place May 8 - 16, 2004.
